Anti Social Behaviour Team / Campus PoliceFrom June 2008 the Campus Police project is being piloted in Trinity High, Linwood High, Castlehead High and Paisley Grammar and their associated primary schools. Police officers will be based in each of the schools, engaging with young people and encouraging them to think about their community and develop a stronger sense of citizenship. It is hoped that the project will lead to safer communities and a reduction in youth crime. The Anti Social Behaviour Team provide fast effective policing response toward the cause and effect of anti social behaviour in Renfrewshire. By tackling street disorder and the perception of the fear of crime with arresting and reporting offenders, the project will contribute significantly to the national priority of regeneration and improve the percentage of residents stating their neighbourhoods are safe and that they feel safe walking home alone and in the dark.
