Mentoring supportThe Mentoring Project provides a mentoring service to help 'looked after' young people aged 14-18 to overcome barriers they face, such as poor parental support, and to help them remain at school. Other young people are supported to attend interviews, careers, college, employment and training courses. They match the young person with a mentor, who will offer them services such as:
Contact times are agreed between the mentor and young person, and are often in the evenings or weekends when young people most feel the need for someone to talk to. Anyone can refer a young person to this service. If you know of a vulnerable child, in need of help, who would benefit from our service, please contact the Mentoring Support Project. The Project would also like to hear from you if you would be interested in becoming a mentor. There is a selection process to go through but if you are interested please contact the project. 0141 848 7327 |
