Background

PPRC provides support to Renfrewshire's Community Planning Partnership (RCPP) in its task of tackling poverty and deprivation in Renfrewshire.
We assist RCCP in the distribution of the Scottish Government's Fairer Scotland Fund (FSF) allocation for Renfrewshire.

FSF brings together seven previous funding streams, these are:

• Community Regeneration Funding
• Workforce Plus
• Financial Inclusion
• Working for Families
• Community Voices
• More Choices More Chances
• Changing Children's Service Fund (Social Inclusion)

The fund has been distributed to projects and initiatives that meet with the Scottish Government's three priorities for tackling poverty and deprivation:

• Regenerating deprived communities
• Improving employability
• Improving life chances

We play a key role in supporting organisations that make up RCPP. RCPP is committed to driving the Community Plan 2008-2017 forward. The plan outlines how partners will work together to achieve a range of shared objectives and targets.
