Top marks at Hillview Nursery

Staff, parents and children from Hillview Nursery in Paisley are giving themselves a well deserved pat on the back this week following the publication of a fantastic report from the Care Commission.

The glowing report reflects the hard work and commitment of all those involved with the nursery. Nurseries are graded on four quality statements, Hillview's recent inspection led to the following grades:
1. Quality of Care and Support: Excellent
2. Quality of Environment: Very Good
3. Quality of Staffing: Very Good
4. Quality of Management and Leadership: Very Good

Nursery Manager, Kelly Hegarty said: "I am very proud of Hillview Nursery's achievements over the years, particularly our recent success in achieving excellence in service delivery for children and families across Renfrewshire.
She continued, "The quality of care and support provided by our service is paramount within the ethos of our nursery and I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our friends and families within the Nursery Community for their continued support and involvement in Hillview Nursery. Long may it last."

Alan McNiven, Chair of the Childcare First board praised the nursery team saying, "This outstanding report is a real credit to the staff, children and families involved with the nursery. The team always strive to provide the best possible care to the children and their families and this commitment is really paying off.
He went on, "Having been involved with the nursery for some time now I have always been impressed with the warm, friendly and knowledgeable staff at Hillview and the great atmosphere in the nursery. I would like to congratulate them on this report and all their efforts in making the nursery one of the best in Renfrewshire."
