Official opening of Kirklandneuk eLearning CentreWed, 21 Oct 2009
The state of the art Kirklandneuk eLearning Centre has been officially opened by Council Leader, Derek Mackay. The new centre, situated within the Kirklandneuk Community Centre offers a first-class community based learning facility for residents across Renfrewshire. Councillor Mackay was delighted to have the honour of officially opening the centre, "This facility is a great investment for the people of Renfrew and Renfrewshire, offering flexible, community based learning opportunities to people of all ages and backgrounds. The new eLearning Centre, run by Reid Kerr College, is part of the Renfrewshire Workforce Plus Programme that aims to help residents back into employment, education or training. Bill Anderson, Renfrewshire Workforce Plus manager said, "We are delighted to be working in partnership with Reid Kerr College to deliver this top class facility. Improving skills is a key aspect of the Workforce Plus agenda and community based eLearning centres are an excellent environment for people to re-train and upgrade their skills." Reid Kerr Principal Joe Mooney welcomed the new centre.
